Wednesday August 23 and Thursday August 24 

Essential Question:  How do I make sure I am successful on my Social Studies Pre-Test? 

IWBAT: show my knowledge about 7th grade Social Studies on my Social Studies Pre-Test. 

Homework: If you have not turned in your project it is due by the following class period.  Every day it is late your project will be deducted points.  13 Colonies Map also needs to be completed and turned in. 

Friday August 25 and Monday August 28

Essential Question: What rights does the Preamble to the Constitution promise to the American people? 

IWBAT: Understanding the meaning of the Preamble to the Constitution by completing my interactive notes packet and interpret the words of the Preamble my creating my Preamble folder. 

Homework: If you did not finish your Preamble folder it is homework. 

Tuesday August 29 and Wednesday August 30 

Essential Question:
What are the jobs of the 3 branches of government and how do they check each other to make sure one doesn't become too powerful? 

IWBAT: Identify the 3 branches of government and their job descriptions by completing my 3 branches of government activity and interpret their role in the system of checks and balances by completing the scenario game. 

Homework: None 

Thursday August 31 and Friday September 1 

Essential Question: Why are the First and Second Amendments important for American citizens to have? 

IWBAT: Describe the First and Second Amendments in my own words by completing the first section of the Bill of Rights Project

Homework: If you didn't finish the First and Second Amendments in class then you will need to complete just those two Amendment for homework.  

Labor Day is on Monday September 4 and there will be no school that day.  You have an extra day to get your assignment completed!! 

Tuesday September 5 and Wednesday September 6

Essential Question: Why are the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments important to American citizens to have? 

IWBAT: Describe the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments in my own words by completing the second section of the Bill of Rights Project
