Students are to study their Bellwork & Homework "Corrections' Pages" every weekend.

During the week we grade together in class the Bellwork & Homework assigned each day. I demonstrate the Step-by-Step solutions for BW & HW and students are to put 3 asterisks next to any Bellwork or Homework problem done incorrectly. Students are not to erase their mistakes since they can learn from them, but they are required to staple a "Correction's Page" to the back of every Bellwork or Homework assignment where they have copied the teacher's Step-by-Step solution.

On the rare occasion that a student did all problems correctly I still expect a "Correction's Page" stapled to the back of their assignment and simply write 100%.

If a student did a problem correctly but they thought that it was a challenging problem and might be a good problem to review before an exam, then they are to mark these problems with 1 asterisk.

Students are also asked to keep a folder for every chapter. When the chapter exam is finished I will also require a "Correction's Page" stapled behind their exam. I will review the Step-by-Step solutions for each problem on the exam and just like their homework they are to use the 1 or 3 asterisks system. I will then tell students to take their chapter folder home and put that folder in a box. We start a new folder for every chapter this keeps their backpacks uncluttered and their chapter notes organized. In this way students can easily prepare for their two high school exams, one in December and the other in the Spring. Students simply pull out their chapter folders and can quickly go through an entire chapter by looking at the problems marked with either 1 or 3 asterisks. In this way students are studying their own personal weak areas and the problems that they thought were challenging.
