Letter to parents

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Can you believe summer has passed by and school is already back in session? Now that it’s time to get back into the routine of school, I would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit more about us and our physical education department policies and procedures.

We have added two new physical education teachers to our staff this year and we are eager to get to know our students and see what this school year has in store for us. The Villago Physical Education Department is dedicated in providing a safe and stimulating environment for all students. Throughout the course of the year, students will participate in a variety of sports and fitness activities. Our goal is to aid students in building a foundation for a healthy and active lifestyle.

As a physical education team, we all work together on a daily basis. We follow a “Daily Rotation” model that provides students with the opportunity to dress out, warm up, participate in a fitness activity, participate in a daily focus activity, a cool down, and then change back into their clothes. Students have been taught this rotation and it is posted in locker rooms as well as the gym. This will be practiced every day to ensure student learning on fitness activities as well as recreational activities. Our expectations are that our students come to class ready to learn, be respectful, be responsible, and be safe. We value our students, their learning, their attitude, their effort, and most of all their well-being.

In addition, we as teachers will abide by the same expectations of respect and responsibility.  Each student is also asked to abide by the Classroom Agreement which is as follows:

I agree to the Villago Code of Conduct in order to help myself to learn, others to learn, and

my teacher to teach.

All students will be expected to follow the Villago Middle School Code of Conduct as outlined in the student handbook:

      • Act in a safe and healthy way.
      • Treat all property with respect.
      • Respect the rights, dignities, and needs of others.
      • Take responsibility for learning.

We are very excited for the start of this school year and to get to know our students. If you have any questions or concerns and need to contact us, we can be reached by telephone (520) 423-0176, or email:
